Our annual Toast Gala is fast approaching, and we’re excited to launch a special initiative that embodies the spirit of our mission: “Seat at the Table.” On Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the stunning Long Bay Beach Resort, Kickin It will host a night of exceptional cuisine, entertainment, and the Kickin It Honors award ceremony, attracting celebrity guests, influencers, and key community figures.
This year we’re honoring a truly inspiring roster of creative trailblazers including Issa Rae, the brilliant mind behind Insecure, a Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actress, writer, and producer who has redefined storytelling and created unparalleled opportunities for Black creators.
It is our desire to ensure that the gala truly reflects the diverse creative talent within our community. We know that attending such events can be a significant investment, and not everyone has the means to secure a seat. That’s where “Seat at the Table” comes in.
What is “Seat at the Table”?
This initiative is a direct reflection of our community’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent. Through “Seat at the Table,” individuals and organizations have the opportunity to purchase seats (or even a full table!) at our gala that we will then gift to talented creatives in our community.
We believe that inspiration sparks when diverse talents connect. That’s why, in addition to raising crucial funds for our cultural preservation and creative development efforts, we are immensely proud to welcome the 2025 Kickin It Honors cohort of creatives to the Virgin Islands and recognize them at the gala.
We’ve made it easy to participate. You can choose to sponsor anywhere from three individual seats to an entire table. Each contribution directly translates into an invaluable experience for a creative in our community, offering them a chance to be part of an evening that celebrates the very best in creative achievement.
It’s a perfect solution for those who want to support our mission and the gala’s success but are unable to attend in person.
